Editorial team, Carson and Dettoriare are putting together an anthology of writings and art by emerging Queer Australian women writers/artists, 'banQuet'. It is an opportunity for these creatives to get their work out there as there are not many options in the Australian book-publishing world for lesbians and queer women.
They are after works that explore and push the boundaries of LGBTIQ lives by/about Queer women. Contemporary, edgy fiction/non-fiction/graphics with feisty queer protagonists with a predominantly Australian connection/flavour is what 'banQuet' is about. Carson and Dettoriare intend to launch the anthology at Midsumma and Mardi Gras 2010, then promote it at subsequent gay festivals in Australia with readings events.
'banQuet' is a feast of new writing and art by Australian Queer women. If your work explores and pushes the boundaries of LGBTIQ lives and if you are a women who identifies somewhere in the LGBTIQ spectrum, send us your stuff! We'd love to see contemporary, edgy material with feisty queer protagonists living their unique lives.
